At church this morning, I saw someone holding a mangy little kitten - kind of an unusual sight.
A little while later I saw Jules holding the same kitten and saying something like, “OK, we’re going to take Laura’s kitty home now.”
Obviously we needed to talk.

in the two weeks of summer vacation we’ve probably spent more days swimming than not–some days at our pool, others at my friend Jo’s. at her pool there is a 2 foot kiddie pool that laura loves because she can bounce around and be completely her own person in it.

The “cross mountain” is a nearby hill with a giant wooden cross on the top. It makes for an easy landmark to set as a hiking goal.
